Freshest seafood in Miami. Love the nigiri tasting along with the raw bar oysters and king crab legs. Our main course was a daraude stuffed with lobster and crab, absolutely delicious. What takes the cake here is their desert called pot of gold, easily one of the top desserts I've had in my life. Must try!

During Miami Spa month and Miami Spice, my sister, cousin, and I try to plan a spa day and then meet with our significant others for a date night at a participating Miami Spice restaurant. So for dinner we chose Lure. Simply because on the menu they had ice cream sandwiches for dessert, duh! The restaurant is located at the Loews hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant was kind of empty but we were greeted with big smiles and welcoming attitude. Our waiter Eli, I believe, was so awesome. He made sure we were all happy and got what we were looking for. He let us know there were 2 items on the Miami Spice menu that were not available. One of them was the ice cream sandwiches! We were so sad. He said he would talk to the chef and see what he can do. Eli sure earned his tip! He showed up with those decadent babies and made our night perfect! The other food items on the spice menu were ok. The portions were small. So small, that I think I ate my dinner in about 5 minutes. Thank god the ice cream sandwiches were large and there were 2 of them. If not, I might have had to cross the street to a bar and grab another bite. Not sure if this was only for Miami Spice or if this is the size of their portions, but it did not convince me to return here. Overall, great service, beautiful restaurant, and great ice cream sandwiches! Thank Eli.

I stayed at the Lowes Hotel last year and since our room was right by the restaurant we decided to come here one night during our stay. The service was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. We stopped in over the weekend and were seated right away. For the appetizer, we had the Fried Calamari which was fantastic. For our entrees, we went with the burgers. I know, it sounds like an odd choice when going to a seafood restaurant but I was in the mood for it. Everything was cooked very well and I really enjoyed the fries. Drinks were great too. I'd love to check out the Lure Fishbar on Mercer Street in Manahttan, I bet it's just as good.

This place was amazing! We had a large private company party ... the service ... the decor was beautiful! All the wait staff is extremely professional and pays attention to detail. The food was delicious as well!

Connected to the Loews Hotel we stayed at, when we checked in we were told by the front desk how good it was, how great the reviews were, etc. etc. We knew from experience that most of the time a eatery connected to a hotel is going to be over priced and underwhelming but did we listen to our advice? Ummm no. The only reason we went was because we were both spent from a day in the sun and didn't feel like the over priced room service or walking to where we should've gone to eat. So we went here, did the reservation with a note that we were there for our anniversary, and then were let down once we got there. Service was blah at best (they were all hustling like mad at the tables where the conventioneers were and at one table that must've been a big wig because they were getting A+++ attention) the food was chic size meaning small! And while there the fire alarm went off. We were hoping we'd have to evacuate and therefore have an excuse to leave but no such luck. Our server very nonchalantly said it was just a false alarm...seriously though. How did he know? I will admit to the food being tasty and well prepared but small servings at ridiculous prices with mediocre service and no mention of our special occasion? Not recommending you to anyone!

About a week before my sister's bachelorette party I booked a Friday night dinner at Lure Fishbar. Our group of 8 was seated promptly at a great circular table in the corner of the restaurant. We started off with champagne (of course) and a few appetizers: crispy blue point oysters (SO good -- I could have eaten the whole plate myself), calamari (good, typical), and jumbo lump crab cakes (great, filled with tons of crab). For my entree I ordered a few sushi rolls (salmon avocado and rainbow). The rolls were well made and the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. Our service was pretty good. There were a few times our waitress seemed a little lost but in general she was friendly and got the job done. Overall this was a great way to kick of a bachelorette party -- there was something on the menu for everyone, the prices weren't totally exorbitant (although it's certainly not cheap), and it was fancy enough to feel special but casual enough not to feel under dressed.

We had a group of five come here for dinner before a night out. First, we were told the table was still having dessert. 30 minutes after our reservation time, they seated us. We started with a round of drinks. I ordered the Dr. Greenthumb and then a dirty martini. The drinks were very well made. For dinner I had the scallops, and they were a solid four stars. After we ordered, the waiter stopped by about three times saying he would get some biscuits to our table. They didn't arrive until after our entrees arrived, and they tasted like...well, nothing. Red Lobster does them better. At the end of the night as they were cleaning our table, one of the busboys dropped a dish of soy sauce, splashing on two of my friends wearing white tops. Yeah, that's not ideal, but they weren't mad at him; these things happen. He was extremely apologetic and rushed to get tonic water for them to dab on the stain. What earned this place one star is the way everyone else handled the situation. The waiter said that guys will still look at them despite the soy sauce stains all over their shirts. Yay. While I understand he was trying to lighten the mood, that's the last thing someone really wants to hear. Then this fratastic looking manager struts over in his power suit and says he is sorry but there is nothing he can personally do to about the stains and offered to pay for the dry cleaning. Yes, thank you, that is the least you can do. Then he offers everyone a round of shots. Really? This restaurant just ruined our night. At least offer to comp their meals or drinks or SOMETHING. At the end of the meal, we get the check and notice gratuity was already added. We would've tipped anyway, but it's the principle that they had the audacity to include it. Take my $80. I look forward to not coming back.

I went out fishing, caught some Dolphin fish and tuna, asked to have Lure prepare it for my wife and I. The executive chef John Iatrellis prepared our meal with perfection. He personally came to our table , asked how we would like it prepared and we let him run with it, the end result was phenomenal. Excellent , well done, I would recommend to my best of friends

My friend Mike recommended this place as Best for Seafood.....and he was right on point. Oysters were super fresh, and Red Snapper Ceviche is very tasty. Food is a Solid 4-4.5 But Service is something else.......we set by the bar and watching Robert ( Bartender ) working on our drinks and order, and how he handled other customers not leaving anyone waiting...... 9 ( stars )

Worth the price for a date night! I dined here recently for a work function, they have a great side-section away from the main restaurant that caters to larger parties (there were about 40 of us). Speedy service. We were fed "family" style where everything on the set dinner menu was laid out in front of us. This was awesome because we got to taste a bit of everything. My favorite menu items: - sushi (!!!!) - shrimp cocktail (BIG juicy shrimp) - Ceviche was fresh and full of flavor! - Shrimp tempura (yesss this hit the spot) - cheddar garlic bread - you must try - caeser salad (they arrive in entire romaine leaves, not chopped up, it was interesting and a little messy but yummy) - and the main chicken dish was good too but I was pretty full by then, as you can probably tell. I don't think I realized how much I ate until just now. Oops. If you're looking for a yummy sturdy wine, order the house Cabernet, it was really good. I'm sure I asked where it was from, but let's just say I had enough glasses to forget the answer. Even if you are ordering mostly seafood, I would still recommend the house cab to pair with it (sorry wine snobs, it's the truth!) The only dish I wasn't a big fan of was the shrimp risotto, a bit bland for my taste but others seemed to enjoy it.

If dined here and gave Lure one star, you have a problem. Service was five stars, the food was five stars, and the craft cocktails were even better.

This place deserves better reviews. This is a classy resturant with great food and service. The cocktails are to die for, my husband and I had our share there during our evening spent there and loved them all. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, snapper ceviche , lobster tail and dessert. Everything was great. No complaints. I thought their pricing was fair for what we got, will definitely visit again the next time we are in SOBE. Try it out!

I had a wonderful dinner last night at Lure. The staff was very attentive and put our large party at ease. The appetizers were amazing, especially the rice cake tuna tartare. My scallops were great, though I would have liked the dish to be a little warmer. Key lime pie was great for dessert, a little sweet but still very good. Overall it was a great evening!

Went to Lure for Miami Spice month. Be careful with the Miami Spice menu presented which is full of "add on" items not clearly marked and/or explained by wait staff. Ended up with an additional $18 pasta dish (printed on Miami Spice menu but apparently an "add-on" plus other items. Explained to waitress upon receiving the $197 bill (two people) who simply said "I'm sorry you didn't know that".

Horrible experience! On September 5, 2015. Our reservations were at 8:30 pm for a party of 8, unfortunately one could not make it so our table hosted 7 guest. Upon sitting down we were promptly welcomed by our waiter and drink orders taken. From then on, service was extremely slow in getting the food out with long periods of time in between courses. Upon finally getting our entrees, all but the Shrimp entrees and the sushi were just above room temperature (sushi entrée was delivered with appetizers). At this point, wanting to express our dissatisfaction verbally we refrained due to our local friend was hosting and head of the table. Since he made the reservation we did not want to be rude by complaining, although it was obvious on everyone's face that dinner had gone downhill. We all immediately asked for the check before the desserts were brought to the table, as the service already indicated it would take a while to get them. When the checks were initially distributed, they were incorrect regardless of us advising of the different parties prior to any ordering. Once the checks were corrected and distributed, we immediately provided our payment and left as quickly as possible. The next day, I call to speak with the manager regarding my partner and I's experience. The experience and quality of the food did not even come close to the monetary value paid. I spoke with Marco, who advised he was the general manager and stated he assisted in waiting on our table. He quickly advised that I should have brought it to his attention at the time, which he is correct. But as express above, we were not the head of the table. His presence was only in the beginning serving us the wine and we had no further interaction with him from then on. The only option he provided was to come back in for complimentary drink or appetizer. The issue is that we do not live in Miami so I declined and asked again for at least partial reimbursement. He quickly declined. It is obvious that dinner did not go as planned since he remembers all the details from our table without assisting. Being the general manager and knowing the delay, I would have expected him to address and apologize for the inconveniences while we were present. Neither him nor the waiter provided any sympathy for the service. By the time we left, we had been at the restaurant for 2.5 hours and served room temperature food. Not the experience we should have been provided for the amount spent. Would not recommend this restaurant, so many others in the area worth the money.

Sat at the bar with my girlfriend last Saturday and had an AHHH-MAZING time. The good was absolutely delicious, the specialty drinks were made with lots of TLC and the service was impeccable. Ask for Aldo and Josh, they were both great!!!!!! They knew the menu well so their recommendations were on point, which I always appreciate, and their liquor knowledge was very in-depth which equaled yummy cocktails!! Highly recommend popping in for a visit. Definitely worth your time!

I was so impressed with my experience at Lure. The service was great and the food was so absolutely amazing there wasn't a single item I had anything negative to say about. Crispy rice cake with spicy tuna- The rice cake was perfectly caramelized and the spicy tuna was not overpowering. Grilled Whole Daurade- I have always shied away from eating fish that wasn't served as a filet. But I gave it a try and was glad I did. The fish had been grilled perfectly and deboned so I didn't have to fight with any fish bones. And the seasoning was just right. Seared diver sea scallops- This dish has many layered flavors like the saltiness from the chorizo, the richness of the scallops, and the creamy potato puree with savory herbed tomato broth that came together flawlessly. Tropical paradise- I'm a chocolate lover. Whenever possible, I finish my meal with something containing chocolate. Surprisingly, I was convinced to have the tropical paradise and the meal couldn't have been finished more perfectly. The range of fresh fruits along with the passion fruit, guava, and coconut sorbet was delicious! I couldn't even remember I had wanted chocolate. I'm dying to return to try other items from their menu.

The nigiri here is absolutely insane!! I lived in Japan for a couple years and this is definitely worthy of the quality places there. A little pricey but totally worth it if you can swing it. The service and drinks are outstanding as well.

My sister and I decided to go here on the recommendation of our concierge. We were not disappointed! We both had the summer tasting menu. The crispy rice tuna rolls are amazing! I also enjoyed the sea bass. The crab cake app was the only mediocre dish we had. Everything else was great as was the service. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We arrived not having a reservation and the hostess Maxie told us the bar was available, but my partner and I wanted to sit at a table. After us telling her this and telling us we would need to wait an older couple walked in and were seated automatically at a table with no reservation. We are a younger couple so we get that was the reason also being as I overheard Maxie tell another hostess why didn't we just sit at the bar. So we were sat and our server started off as the young couples don't tip attitude but it did improve as time went on. For $230 I would expect cooked asparagus and not raw. The steak on the surf and turf was pretty tasty, though. Oh and a service charge was already added to the bill at the end? For a party of 2. The steak was great but not good enough for the attitude we had to put up with to get it.

Came here with my sister on December 29th, 2014. We had a 9:15PM reservation and they seated us at 9:45 PM. Fine. I can wait a few minutes, especially on the busiest week of the year. At first our waitress(who will remain nameless) was nice and attentive. We ordered drinks and apps. My sister ordered some cocktail in a champagne glass for $18 that when it arrived tasted like pure juice with a lychee at the bottom. We told The waitress that the drink was weak (esp for $18) and she offered (more like whispered as if it were a secret) to bring a shot of vodka to offset the juiciness of the drink. Little did we know that the $16 shot of grey goose would be on our bill at the end. Thanks waitress. Now - maybe I'm a little spoiled after watching "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" last week, but these $20 rolls weren't even worth $5. I'm sorry, but if you're gonna charge $20 for a roll of sushi, it better not look like a limp stick of crab drunkily rolled into a half pound of rice. We complained (because we're Jews from New York) and if we're dropping $200+ on dinner if better be worth it. They offered to comp us an additional sushi roll or dessert. We took the sushi roll and it was "made with love" from the sushi chef, aka he actually decided to put some tuna in our rice. I think the worst part about the meal is that the manager knew we complained to The waitress twice, yet still neglected to come to our table to certify everything was okay. Oh yea, and 18% gratuity was automatically added for a party of two. #neveragain #byefelicias

I'm giving two stars based mostly on price. I visited on a Saturday around 7pm and the restaurant was empty except for two other tables. For apps, My wife got red snapper ceviche which was ok just a little hot with diced red pepper. The peppers took over the dish. For my app I had the tuna taco's which were outstanding and worth the $18 price. For our main courses I had the bash burger which was good but I think the bacon topping overtakes the burger. My wife had buccotini with lobster which was so so and very buttery. Overall the restaurant is just ok. For what it is, it's very expensive and the service while friendly didn't match the pricing. My guess is that this restaurant will be gone the next time I visit Miami in 2-3 years.

Delicious Seafood and Fabulous Service My friend selected this restaurant after hearing wonderful reviews. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted by our extraordinary waitress, Barbara. She was attentive, friendly and just absolutely wonderful in every way. I care more about service than anything else and the service was exceptional. Our every desire was immediately catered to without being overbearing. It was the perfect balance for a luxury evening of dining. My friend ordered the oysters and the King Crab Legs. She said they were the best oysters she has ever consumed in her life (so she ordered another batch to relive the experience one more time). I love seafood and snapper is one of my favorite fish to eat. The snapper was mouth-watering and delicious. The food was scrumptious and the presentation was spectacular. The whole experience at Lure's was divine. It was on the expensive side ($409 for the four of us), but they did offer a Miami Spice Menu, which three of us took advantage of because it was only $40 for a select choice of an appetizer, entree and dessert. Everything was perfect.

Food was good, waiter, Marco, was fabulous, but that's about it. When we arrived the hostess was extremely rude. Even though we had a reservation she put us in a side room. The main room had plenty of open tables but apparently, we weren't "Miami" enough to deserve to sit in the main room. When we asked if we could sit in the main room, they came back and said all the tables were reserved...well we had reservations...but no, you need to sit in the side room, but don't worry, it will fill up soon. So, we ask to see the manager. He comes out and tells us that even though we had reservations, they reserve the tables in the main room for their "regulars" and that one guy was there for his 42nd visit (a number I'm sure he pulled out of his ass). So, ok, this restaurant, which is in the Loews hotel, not a hotspot on Ocean, reserves it's tables in the main room only for regulars? REALLY? So new customers aren't important to you? Once, again, he assures up our room will fill up and buys us a drink and an appetizer to appease us. Guess what, main room never filled up and neither did the side room. The only people in the side room with us was an obnoxious Bachelorette Party and a group of men on a conference. There was no reason other than playing the worthy game that we weren't seated in the main room. It was quite entertaining since my friends I was with are from NYC, very wealthy and are regulars at Lure in the city. I just think it was funny to play that game at this location. The food was great, but there are a plethora of amazing restaurants in Miami.I would not return here again.

This is NOT your Soho Lure. Menu is vastly different with some of New York's signature dishes and rolls missing. Why? We went on a Thursday night with 1/2 empty dining room yet our server was serving 19 customers at one point. Needless to say service was awful, and no Manager came to inquire as to to our meal. Other than taking our order (after a 15 minute wait for him to finish with another table) we barely saw him again. Sushi while good ,was miniscule in size and terrible in presentation. Stick with Lure Soho-- still great after all these years. This place destined to suffer similar fate of Catch New York when it attempted to do Miami, if they don't get their act together.

This restaurant was eh. The ambience was nice until the fire alarm went off..... For almost 15 minutes! Yup. Not only was it a terrible and loud alarm but there were also strobe lights. Service was good, our server was knowledgable and made some great recommendations. The food was alright. Definitely shouldn't have cost $300 for myself, my husband and my 7 year old. I feel that management should've comped us dessert or an appetizer or something for our meal being interrupted by the loud obnoxious alarm as well. Overall the convenience was nice because it was a short walk from our room but I wouldn't go there if I hadn't stayed at Loews

I came here thru the miami spice event and chose this place because of its interesting menu. Without the deal, I can't say if I think it would be worth the price tag. It was still expensive despite miami spice because of the price of drinks, they charged us for water, and our bill included tip. Their seafood was amazing, obviously its the restaurants specialty. The oysters were some of the freshest and best I have had. I also had the shrimp risotto and key lime pie. Both were incredibly rich and delicious. The pie was extra tart, just how I like it. My bf had the salmon, which he said was amazing. Their cocktails all have fun names and were very creative. The waitstaff was very good. One weird thing I noticed: we had a booth table that was kind of an island in the middle of the restaurant. As it got busier at the bar, the waitstaff had to maneuver around and ending up serving us, taking plates, and pouring water, from like every which direction, even from behind us and under our arms. It was a little alarming but didn't take away from the overall experience. While the ambience was nothing crazy, I gave my rating for the great quality of food.

Started with some appetizers; the deviled eggs with caviar, a small cold seafood platter with dressed oysters/scallops/mussels, and a sashimi platter with toro/big eye tuna/salmon/amberjack. The saltiness from the caviar on top of the deviled eggs was perfect. The sashimi was fresher than any Japanese restaurant in town - and at the same price. Every fish had a silky buttery consistency, and the freshness was so obvious. Next we ordered a couple cocktails, I had the oceanfront, which was like nothing I've ever tasted. Sammy told me they used Dr Browns Cel-Ray in the drink. For the main course I had the whole grilled darade - which was the highlight of my night. Magnificent. My girlfriend had the capellini with butter poached crab with an uni créme.

Expected more, supposedley the Loews Hotel is revamping their image with this restaurant and its outdoor bar and lounge. However after having both experiences I believe they fall short from their potential. The Lure only held classic seafood dishes, nothing outside the box, no new flavors or anything widely impressive. As for the bar it is missing an attractive environment.

Omg! Be ready to Wait. The reservation is useless. Unfortunately I can't attest to the quality of the food since I never made it to a table. People with reservations were leaving the waiting area to find food elsewhere. We asked one couple that left without being seated what time they had a reservation for and they told us over an hour earlier. We were 40 minutes into our wait so we left. Totally unacceptable. Go somewhere else.

Amazing seafood that is worth the high price tag with impeccable service. Treat yourself to dinner here, or have a "dessert date" with a Pot of Gold. THE FOOD: Oyster Bar includes two east coast and two west coast varieties and although I don't eat oysters everyone else at the table was delighted; I can say that the four accompanying sauces were all delicious Crispy Rice Cakes with Spicy Tuna Tartare, Wasabi Aioli - the favorite among favorites, caramelized rice cake texture was a wonderful surprise and the spicy tuna was so fresh with multiple delicate heats Sushi platter - we had nigiri and a couple of rolls (don't remember which) and the fish was so fresh, but you can get good sushi in a lot of places so enjoy the more adventurous menu offerings here Grilled Whole Daurade with Watercress, Grilled Lemon, Agrodolce - cooked to perfection, what more is there to say? Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Pearl Onion & Mushroom Ragout, Whipped Potatoes - so tender and delicous, this is a fish restaurant where you can enthusiastically order the steak Pot of Gold: Banana Pudding, Milk Chocolate Mousse, Candied Peanuts - this would not have been my first choice on the dessert menu, but it was incredible. If you enjoy going to a fine restaurant for dessert and coffee/drinks, then this should added to your short list. THE DRINKS: The bar staff is incredibly knowledgeable, I simply asked for "refreshing" and the bartender chose Catch and Release and it was... you guessed it, refreshing Cash and Release - Absolut, Dolin Blanc, Fresh Watermelon, Lemon, Orange Bitters, Watermelon Radish OTHER: Water - they refilled often Website - easy to navigate, beautiful food images and menus all prominent Service - some of the best service I've had on the beach, our wait staff knew the moment you finished a drink or a plate or removed your chopsticks wrapper or needed... anything Tapas - sushi, sashimi, crudos... these all work well for a tapas-style meal but I would strongly suggest a couple of entrees to share family style as well, don't miss out on these Value - yes this restaurant is expensive, but there are so many expensive restaurants on the beach that don't give you the quality you expect for their prices and Lure definitely will Venue - ambience/decor was a little underwhelming, can accommodate small or large groups very easily

Though the $40.00 crab claw was laughable everything else about Lure was as serious as you can get. Some restaurants are expensive and you feel ripped off, but this place is well worth (almost) every penny. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable, the lighting good and best of all, no loud music. The servers were neither fawning too friendly or aggressive and knew the menu very well. The food was excellent. Lure sets a standard rare for miami beach. For most of us, this restaurant is a rare treat and for the 1% as often as they like.

My family and I went to Lure last weekend for a special occasion and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I immediately felt at home in the upscale yet comfortable restaurant. I quickly settled in, ready as ever to get my drink and my dine on. Of course, I had scoured the menu with a critical eye before dinner time because, naturally, I never leave these things to chance. Honestly, who goes to a restaurant without first doing their due diligence in this day and age? Our waiter Sammy came over and I immediately creeped him out by telling him I had read all about him on Yelp. He took it in stride and I considered it a personal victory (good karma if you will) that we ended up with a Yelp all-star waiter. We asked Sammy for some recommendations and I swear it was like he was inside of my head. I nodded "yes" to everything as if in a trance. While I'm certainly giving Lure and Sammy credit for our flawless meal, I'm also patting myself on the back for navigating the extensive menu and ending up with winners across the board. Tuna tataki, Cucumber-wrapped sushi, crabcakes, salmon, cauliflower...are you hungry yet? Everything was perfectly prepared, light, flavorful and delicious. We ended our meal on the perfect note - with chocolate and champagne. You can lure me back any time!

Place is overrated. I sat at the bar and the bartender with the beard was obnoxious. No one needs your fancy mixology shaking...just make the drink correctly. Drinks were pretty lousy. My friend was made a drink she didn't ask for. Not worth the visit.

My son and I just had dinner at this over priced mediocre restaurant. Get this I had the app for 2 at $48.00, 2 stone crab claws at $40.00 each. Stupid me, I didn't ask. I had the filet mignon, lobster, one double whiskey on the rocks. Oh my son had a glass of lemonade. That's it. He didn't eat anything because he wasn't hungry. My Bill was $496.96. This was for one meal. Our table wobbled, the chairs and table were severely weathered. My lobster still had the poop vein in the tale. I am as close to a professional chef without having my degree. Honestly I would have enjoyed the same quality dinner at Joes Crab Shack or even Red Lobster for a 10th of the price. The one star of this dinner was my server. She was great. The manager tried to explain. "It's South Beach, that's what everyone charges". Well I wouldn't have baulked at the price if I was treated like I was spending $500.00 for ONE GREAT meal. I wasn't. This is my 2¢ worth. Take or leave it.

I was staying at the Loew's Hotel while attending an orthodontic conference this past February. After a very late check-in, I ate at Lure and had the most delicious Sushi dinner I have ever had. The seafood was excellent, and the service, even at the late hour, were great. I only wish that I could visit South Beach weekly to enjoy this wonderful restaurant more often.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this fabulous restaurant. The raw fish is exquisite and I strongly recommend the orzo as a side. Don't miss the incredible cocktail menu, including the delicious English Rose. Incredible! A must to try on SoBe.

I wasn't a fan of the ambiance. It was definately and older crowd but it allowed room for a intimate conversation. They have really good cocktails, they are very proud of this. Waiters aren't really informed about the menu (in terms of going into detail if you have a question). But overall its a very chill vibe. Must try the ceviche plate

Of course I booked a Saturday night so we could experience the true Miami scene and atmosphere of the new Lure Fishbar. When we arrived the host informed us there would be a 15-minute wait for our table, I didn't mind because we could hang at the bar, which looked lively. I tend to stick to my Vodka/Tonic but the Bartender Jennie encouraged me to try something new, which she guaranteed I would love...and I did! I had the Queens Regulator, actually I had a few. Every drink made at that bar had all sorts of intricate recipes laced with fresh exotic fruits, the bartenders looked like painters. They offer a host of specialty cocktails and I would have tried them all if I had a higher alcohol tolerance. Once we got to our table our server or "Captain" (everything is nautical themed) James was delightful and well versed on every aspect of the menu. I started with the Jalapeño & Spicy Yellowtail Roll, which was so delicious. There are so many appetizers to choose from, Shrimp Tempura and the Rice Cakes are an absolute MUST! I had another roll with Soft-Shell Crab and asparagus and that for me was the best. Obviously there was a ton of seafood to try but I went with the Crab Cake, it was meaty and had a spicy salad slaw. After all that I was stuffed but my Captain talked me into dessert (and more Queen Regulators). The Pot of Gold, which is banana pudding and chocolate mousse with some kind of candy drizzle was by far one of the best things I've ever had. Everything at Lure was on point and not only did I enjoy the food but the people who helped make it a great night out!

I've been here twice and have had an excellent experience both times. Every drink and dish I tried was amazing. I like to sit at a bar that has energy and engaging bartenders and I got that both visits!

The fish and service were amazing. Our waiter never let a glass get empty. He gave great recommendations for food and drinks. And last but not least, get THE POT OF GOLD!!!

Decided to try this place out for the first time and it definitely leaves much to be desired. The ambiance was nice but nothing special. The side table we were seated at was somewhat uncomfortable because the table requires both people to sit on one side of the booth. Therefore your focus is on whats going on in the inside of the restaurant instead of each other. Either way, that wasn't a huge deal. We started with a seabass carpaccio which was delicious and the homemade biscuits they provided were pretty tasty. But when it came to the main course it was pretty, meh. I had a shrimp risotto and the risotto was overly cooked and considering this place is known for fish the shrimp was meh. My boyfriend ordered the sashmi platter and for $42 there was 5 incredibly small pieces of fish and 4 incredibly small tuna rolls. There was nothing spectacular about the fish to deem it worthy of that price. Our drinks were mediocre and also nothing special. Lets just say that we left very hungry and unsatisfied with a $200 bill. I don't mind spending money on food, the price is not the issue. But when I go somewhere expecting to spend a lot of money I expect exceptional food and service and this experience definitely lacked all of the above. Oh and there is a 20% service fee already included in your bill, so enjoy. Considering all the reviews range from 2 - 5 stars, I would say this place isn't worth the risk.

Great to see another NYC import make it's way to Miami. Always have a fan of Lure in the city, tucked away in a corner basement below the Prada flagship in Soho. The restaurant here is a lot more expansive with higher ceilings and a large bar area with open Oyster Bar. Located in the Loews hotel, in the southern most building within the complex. We were there on a Saturday night with a reservation and the place was packed. If you're familiar with the menu from the original restaurant, not much differentiation here, give or take a few dishes. We started with Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice cakes, which is on the regular menu here. A little different than the ones at the NY branch (the ones there were crusted with some black sesame while these were not), but still equally tasty. My brother has Red Snapper; me the Lobster Roll. Both executed to perfection. I just wish there was some claw meat in my Lobster Roll though, that's obviously the best part! Dessert menu consisted of various seasonal offerings, though we didn't indulge this particular night. Service was excellent, with attention and care given to our table by multiple members of the staff. Management discreetly roaming to make sure everything was exceptional. Two cocktails, two glasses of sake, dinner mentioned above, and an included 20% gratuity, our bill was almost $100/head. To be expected on South Beach, and a wonderful start to the night ahead.

Simply amazing meal. Started with a properly prepared margarita from Josh at the bar. Very knowledgeable about the menu and steered me into an appetizer of the sea bass ceviche. Wow! I love ceviche but this was definitely next level. Ended up going with the snapper risotto which was spot on! Fish nice and crispy outside pure tenderness on the inside. Risotto was perfect with just the slightest bit of truffle oil which I don't usually care for but just the right amount made the difference. Can't wait to come back! Hope Josh is working so I can get top notch service again!

We stayed at the Loews Hotel and read good reviews about Lure so we decided to try it out. Our reservation was made via Open Tables. Upon arrival we were seated immediately, which is always a plus in my book. The waiter promptly greeted us and took our drink orders. This is when the night started taking a down hill turn. When we arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 PM the dining room was perhaps half full. We placed our drink orders, appetizers and main course orders and the restaurant was still not full. However, it took 20+ minutes between when our appetizer was cleared to when our main courses were served. Had I known it would take that long, I may have ordered more appetizers. I don't think this was due to the server as he kept giving us nervous glances and spoke to the manager. Both our server and the manager stopped by to apologize for the long wait and assured us our food would be out shortly. Normally, in circumstances such as this, we are comped either the appetizer or dessert. Not the case at Lure. It was quite disappointing for a high end restaurant. This is not the type of service we expected. On top of that, we were charged a 20% service charge for a party of 2. Perhaps this is standard as they are part of the hotel, but this was not stated on the menu. And again, certain things should be waived when the guest experiences long wait times. I didn't give Lure 2 stars solely for the poor customer experience. For a seafood/sushi bar, the seafood selection was quite limited. Furthermore, the size of the rolls were miniscule compared to other sushi establishments. We ordered the tuna takaki and lobster bisque as our appetizers. The tuna was fresh but the slices were quite stingy. As the pieces were so small, the lightly seared edges left almost no uncooked parts. The lobster bisque was a bit better given it contained quite a few pieces of lobster. We ordered the grilled beef tenderloin, Rainbow roll and Naruto Trio roll as the main courses. As with the tuna tataki, the fish in the rolls were fresh but the pieces of fish were ridiculously small especially given the price. The beef tenderloin was good and cooked medium rare as ordered. The desserts were uninspired and tasted equally disappointing. We ordered the Ice Cream sandwiches and Key Lime Pie. The Ice Cream sandwiches were mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream. The cookies did not appear to be made in house and the ice cream tasted almost identical even though one should have been mint. The Key Lime pie tasted oddly with only a hint of lime and the crust was stale. For the price paid, this was a massive disappointment and I would not recommend it and will never be back.

The decor, the service, and the food were all superb. We ordered several appetizers including the crispy tuna, tempura shrimp, and crab cake. We thought we'd get more than 1 crab cake in the app order, but it was delicious nonetheless. I definitely plan on returning.

Had Royal for Appetizer. (Assortments of oysters, clams, lobster and crabs) Not worth the price. It was over $100 and wasn't enough for 4 people to share. Ended up getting a dozen more oysters. Got sea bass stuffed with crab meat for main course from the special. It was mediocre and service was horrible.

Wednesday night dinner with a friend from California. At first I was kind of apprehensive about this place as I never heard of it. Boy oh boy, I was pleasantly surprised. Walked into the place and the decor is very nice and has a very cool nautical theme. The drinks at the bar are creative, delicious, and not badly priced at $12-15 USD. Dinner was fantastic. The menu is varied and fun. Lots of things to choose from especially when it comes to Oysters and Sushi. I ended up having the Diver Scallops and Shrimp. Everything was fantastic in terms of taste and quality. The most surprising dish of the night was a burger we ordered. We were talking to our server which happens to be from Chicago which our friend from CA is also a Chicago native. We were commenting on the "meat plates" at a Fishbar. He actually recommended the burgers and informed us that the chef (Josh Capone) has been a NYC Burger Bash champ 3 or 4 years in a row. So we ordered a burger and split it 4 ways as an appetizer. Holy mother of god, The burger is freaking AWESOME! All in all I have to say Lure surprised all of us. If you're coming here for Miami Spice it might be a good deal. But be aware we spent close to $500 USD for 3 people, so it is kind of pricey depending on what you go for and what you drink. I'm going with a 5 star review. Creativeness of the menu, Food quality, and the staff made it a great dinner. Nothing to complain about here.

I sincerely expected more of Lure. The ambience was excellent, the Loews hotel it belongs to is excellent, and the menu looked awesome. We had yellowtail carpaccio (too hot maybe, but good), clam chowder (good, but not a real chowder), risotto with lobster (best dish in the dinner) and a sushi platter. I need to point out I'm a real sushi enthusiast. I've been to Japan multiple times and I've eaten sushi in the best restaurants outside Japan. This is very average sushi, nothing to complain about, but surely not worth its 48$ pricetag. Oh, and "spicy tuna" in Japan is not done by mixing the rice with chili peppers. Puh-lease. This is my gripe with Lure at the end, we paid 215 dollars for a good dinner with an excellent dish or two, but overall, the price was much too high for the quality. Also the service while courteous was not really nice. We were denied bread for the table (flatly!). When we asked to charge to our room they actually went back and checked the data... It felt very awkward and bad. All in all, was it bad? No. Was it excellent? Not really. And the price tag was for excellent, not for good enough.

Maybe this place doesn't get better reviews because it looks like a traditional fish/steak place, as opposed to a more Miami aesthetic. Dunno. We actually liked it quite a lot and ate here twice. The menu is a paradox of choice. Almost impossible to choose a more sushi-themed or shellfish-themed or entree-centric meal. We did oysters and sushi both nights. Nice cocktails. Nice kids menu too, beyond the usual burgers and chicken fingers. The prices, particularly for the beverages, are painful.

If you want a great tasting meal then i agree this is a great place to go, the food is always very fresh and always has a good flavor to it. If you want good service then i would take a pass and go someplace else, especially for the cost of the meal. The first time my GF and I went here, it was first class all the way. Probably the best service we had in recent memory, but the last 2 times the service has been absolutely horrible and not what you would be expecting. I just went with a large group the other night, and the service was very slow we waited 30 mins for apps and then another 30 after that for our meals. At which point 1 of them came out completely wrong and then the food runner tried to argue with us about how it was right, and 2 of the meals came out 10 mins after everyone else had already tarted eating even though they were same as 4 other people at the table. We maybe saw our waiter 5 times after we ordered and they work as a team so you have 2 waiters taking care of you, and we still couldn't find them. So for the money i would go some place else where they appreciate the amount of money you are spending with them.

Another Miami Beach Seafood Restaurant, yes I know I write it as if it's tedium. Yes and no, Lure is yes beautiful, the ambiance at the Lowes Hotel only accentuates the class you find at lure. A great date spot and a great bar, with benevolent bartenders. What I liked as opposed to what I liked, well what I liked outweighed my dislikes immeasurably. Firstly Ambiance, classy yet very comfortable. Service was extraordinary, hands down. The food was artistically plated, beautiful and very good. My dislikes garner around the menu and the expense. The menu had the ubiquitous sushi, I want sushi at a Japanese sushi restaurant, just a cultural prejudice of mine, but I would rather find it there. I ordered the Deviled eggs at $18.00, Sautéed Branzino $32.00 and a very high wine list. So this dove tales in my last dislike as you can look forward to a $200.00 bill conservatively. Yes I understand the argument of "We have expenses, you Yelping idiot" . I get it, The chef's are artists, the waitstaff is there voice, and the culinary experience is your reward. Another Seafood Restaurant, yes, but another good one!

Gets super busy and most people have to wait because this place is so popular. If you don't make reservations, forget it, you have to wait a about 2-3 hours at peak time. Service is impeccable though. I'm surprised this only has ten reviews, although they've only been open about a year. I had "the queens regulations" cocktail and it was delicious if you like sweet drinks. Deviled eggs with caviar were absolutely savory and delicious Fish tacos with salmon were awesome if you like sushi. (Salmon) Entrees were good, (surf and turf with steak and lobster, and salmon entree) I've had equally good salmon and steak at other 5 star restaurants. Dessert - wow. Homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches. Chocolate chip with vanilla ice cream and chocolate cookies with mint I've cream. Also, chocolate and vanilla mousse with fresh banana and pecans was.... " !!! " Overall, great place with solid service

Just left Lure & Bad Service! !! Waited 25 mins after we we're seated before waiter finally made it over to the table. I guess since they add a 20% service fee in your bill already service is not a concern. Fried rice could use some help. Over salty. Overall not only our experience was lack luster the guest next to us was experiencing the same.

Nice ambiance. Excellent service- you're paying for it though!!! Plus mandatory 20% service fee. $75 pp for lunch. I was hungry after. Like, very hungry. Standard sushi rolls. Good tuna tacos. Good tuna over crispy rice cakes (not $18 good though) Decent ceviche. Very small portions. Not super high quality ingredients as the price suggests. Sushi was maybe one step up from my mall food court sushi rolls ( you know, when you're starving and desperate while shopping) Yeah. Not embellishing. Overrated and overpriced. I'm from San Francisco, a foodie town, so food has to be phenomenal to warrant these prices, and it was not. But we were hungry and didn't want to walk around.. Best thing about this pace were the cocktails. Very good drinks. Do yourself a favor, have a cocktail and an app. And thats it. And also, why did the girlies at reception keep asking if we had reservations? It was empty every time we were in there... Cmon now. This aint Gary Danko

What's there not to love about Lure! Located in the beautiful Lowes Hotel, Lure Fishbar is a trendy, upscale and beautiful restaurant serving fresh seafood and other items. Great attention to detail from the service, to the decor, to the food! We started with the tuna Tataki tacos, which was tuna served in a taco wonton cracker ~ super fresh and nicely seasoned! The wild mushroom soup was tasty without being heavy, and the lobster bisque was light and delicate with just the right amount of lobster. The deep fried oysters breaded in graham cracker crumbs was a hit, even my picky husband who never ever eats oysters had to have some! I had the bucatini with poached lobster in a butter sauce ~ YUM - whole lobster claw plus chunks of lobster! and hubby had the fresh grilled durade, a whole, delicate white fish, grilled and seasoned and cooked perfectly. The white cheddar orzo was oh so creamy and downright delicious and savory! Our server, Jeff, did an amazing job, the sommelier, Marco, was knowledgable and engaging, and on a busy Saturday night, it was so nice that the General Manager, Sol, came over to greet us warmly! Now, how's that for customer service! I think I would have loved to see more types of seafood, perhaps mussels, calamari, abalone, garlic roasted crab, and octopus would be nice, and maybe some exotic fish special, rather than all the sushi and sashimi choices. With that said, all in all, we had a fabulous dining experience;. Out of all the fine dining restaurants in South Beach, we were so delighted with choosing Lure Fishbar for a wonderful and memorable dining experience!

Off the hook! One of the nicest rooms in south beach. Our professional waiter Dennis thoroughly knew menu and made excellent recommendations. A nice selection of wines by the glass with a Pyrex beaker type generous pour. Textbook execution of the freshest fish and the best key lime pie we've ever had. Bring your wallet.

We had a really awesome experience here last night. Great food, drinks, and service all around. Highly recommended for fresh seafood in a good atmosphere (we sat outside on the patio - not quite as noisy as inside). The Ceviche was some of the best we've had. The tuna tacos, crispy tuna roll, and house sushi roll were also great. Bourbon lovers should try the Full Mast cocktail.

I want to start off by saying, I REALLY wanted to like this place. The interior is beautiful, the bar staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was phenomenal. You may think, if all that was so nice, why the poor review? The service is AWFUL, and I can see why the employees have such an attitude judging by the attitude of the manager on duty. Bare with me, but all of the details matter. We arrived at Lure at around 745pm, not realizing it was such a popular place and needing a reservation. The hostess was initially very nice, and stated our wait would be 30 minutes. No big deal, we got a drink and talked for a bit. An hour went by, and we started to question why no one has updated us on the status of our table. My friend went up to the hostess and politely asked for an update, we were told someone was checking on our table now. Another 45 minutes went by, no update. My friend went up there again and asked about when they thought we would be seated, and received the same response of checking on our table. Within that time, multiple people showed up who seemed to know the hostess and/or the manager. They were all seated. Did all of these people have reservations? I doubt it, but I guess there is that potential. After almost 2 hours of sitting there, we again went up to the hostess and asked for an update because if it was going to be any longer, we would go to another restaurant. The hostess said she would seat us at the sushi bar, until a table opened up. Nightmare started...the sushi bar is extremely uncomfortable. Not only were the chairs high and awkward and not meant to be sat in for long periods of time, but my friend and I had to share silverware and a napkin! For such a "classy" place, this was embarrasing! The sushi bar chefs were amazing and very friendly, I wish I could say the same about our waiter. Our waiter comes over and as my friend asks him about ingredients in certain foods (he has a dairy/gluten allergy), the waiter was extremely rude, condescending, and even snickered when he said, " you don't know what's in that?." Of course we don't know what is in it, that's why we asked! I received my food way before my friend did (luckily, as we had to share silverware and a napkin),and we could not get our water refilled to save our lives. I decided to approach the manager. I started off by telling him this was the worst restaurant I have been to in a long time because of the way they treated us. He snickered and said, "I find that hard to believe, but okay." I told him, apparently his employees must get their attitude from him because he is also extremely rude. I was so taken back by the service at this place, and on top of it to have a manager who could care less. I'm sorry I was not in a fancy black dress, Louboutin heels, and am not a 6'3 model. I had no idea this was the type of place we were in! Needless to say, I will never go back to this place. I travel all around the country for work, and eat out at multiple restaurants a week and have never been treated so poorly.

Great atmosphere. I read on yelp how many people complained about the service but I thought it was spectacular. It was rather pricey for sushi. You can get equal or better sushi at Doraku but the entrees and apps looked great. I would not come here for sushi but would for fish.

We ate at the bar and had an incredible experience. Bar tenders were impeccable - guy w the beard was on point w his cocktail suggestions - mixology to a whole new level. Food was amazing. We started off strong w the London summer cocktail and the oyster and it kept getting better. Def a must.

This place should be ashamed. We were seated outside and many of the cushions were wet although it hadn't rained all day. I always ask my server for suggestions and really appreciate their honesty. Our waiter without fail suggested the most expensuve item for every course, I felt like i was buying a used car! Kids and grandparents got hamburgers and seafood, which they liked. Momma and I ordered the bone in ribeye ($75) and beef tenderloin ($45) --- by the way add $15 to each for the toppings our waiter suggested, both medium rare, both came out well done. The waiter said they would be replaced right away. 25 minutes later, our steaks were served again WELL DONE By this time we were no longer interested. $375 for part of the family to eat seems a little high. I often overlook issues if the place is crazy busy, etc. That was not the case here. We told the waiter when we sat down we needed to be finished in under two hours. That didn't happen either. If you are into slow service and insincere apologies this is the place for you. Otherwise, Prime 112 down the street blows this place away and they know how to cook your food.

Nothing to see here - straightforward menu with exorbitant prices and skimpy portions. No creativity in the menu or presentation. Not a single thing we tasted or ate was exceptional - but I don't have any complaints about anything either, as everything was executed well and with quality ingredients.

I made a reservation via OpenTable at Lure South Beach for 7:00pm Friday, December 6, 2013. When we arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 we were informed that there was a private party going on. I then checked my email to confirm that I had the correct OpenTable reservation and noticed that the restaurant sent me an email confirming a 9:45 reservation. I did not make this reservation. At 7:00 we told the manager we would not be back for the 9:45 and they then canceled our reservation. This is no way to do business. You are starting off on the wrong foot. I expect to be treated better.

Great food and service. Definately a standout for ingredients and quality. My only complaint would be the pricing. I generally am not hung up on the price of a nice meal and have dined in many top quality restaurants. I would definitely say that Lure is in that upper tier for service and quality. However, when the check came I was a little surprised at how high the pricing was.

Top notch dining experience. We dined on a busy Friday night at 8pm. Took a bit longer to get our first cocktail but the staff was service oriented, attentive and genuinely interested in our dining experience. Barbara was the main person, but they all worked well as a team. She recommended some tasting and all were memorable. Fresh oysters, best ever rainbow roll. The rice cake had great texture and a nice kick to the ceviche and chicken lollipops. We had enough room for the pot of gold dessert that was scrumptious. High energy ambiance and fun high end dining experience. The waitress did warn us that the gratuity was included.

Ambience was an A+, but food was just so-so and service was terrible. Lobster roll was particularly bad, and clam chowder was average at best. On a positive note, tuna tacos were quite good. Last note, way overpriced, and were charged for items we didn't order....

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Martini's are $19 each! Not a full pour! Probably 2 jigger ounces. I think they were watered down - I had THREE - which is very unusual for me - and didn't even get a buzz! RUDE bartender - ridiculously priced food items! STAY AWAY MY FRIEND - STAY AWAY! The bill was $290 for 8 cocktails - 1 sushi roll, 1 ceviche and 1 burger and 1 lobster roll CRAZY! And to boot - they included the tip! Which was $40! INSANE!

Went to Lure the other evening to see what all the hype was about. There were only two of us and it was an informal dinner, so we opted to sit at the bar. Excellent choice, the service from Josh and Jen was attentive and the cocktails were excellent! Josh even went above and beyond to recommend a cocktail from their list when I ordered my usual Manhattan - the Full Mast was even better! Not to mention the food was on point. Will definitely be returning.
